A meditation training system structured for success

Equa is a progressive meditation training program, built to teach practical mindfulness skills step by step. Equa uses the Unified Mindfulness system: a science-informed training framework developed in collaboration with mindfulness instructor and neuroscience research consultant Shinzen Young.

While some apps offer a collection of guided meditations (and that’s great!), Equa offers something different. It’s a learnable system with clear stages, measurable outcomes, and now, physiological feedback woven in.

Unified Mindfulness uses precise terminology and clearly defined techniques, which makes mindfulness skills easier to learn and practice.

That precision allows the training to progress in a logical sequence. So you can reliably move from basic attention training to more advanced emotional and cognitive regulation without feeling stuck.

Built for beginners, professionals, and skeptics

The Unified Mindfulness system was designed to be:

  • Accessible for beginners who want clear instruction and fast feedback

  • Effective for professionals who need focus, emotional regulation, and resilience in real-world conditions

  • Credible for skeptics who want precise language, practical outcomes, and a research-backed approach

No belief system required. No spiritual framing. Just trainable skills.

What you’ll actually learn

Through Equa’s meditation training, you learn how to:

  • Notice thoughts, emotions, and body sensations with clarity

  • Stabilize attention in distracting or stressful situations

  • Recognize stress reactions as they arise and interrupt them early

  • Apply mindfulness skills in your daily life

Each skill builds on the last, so you’re not guessing what to do next or wondering whether you’re “doing it right.”
